Our rates on the Classic Plus account are streets ahead. We can offer new current account customers a fixed interest rate of 5.00% AER* on the first £5,000 of balances until 30th August 2005 when they:
agree to pay in a minimum of £2,000 a month (if you agree to pay in a minimum of £1,000 a month you will still earn 4.50% AER* / 4.41% Gross*)
log on to Internet banking at least 3 times every 3 months

After 30th August 2005 interest rates will revert back to our standard Plus rates, which are currently 4.00% AER* / 3.93% Gross* if you pay in £2,000 a month and 3.50% AER* / 3.45% Gross* if you pay in £1,000 a month.
We can also offer new customers opening a Plus account an interest free overdraft on agreed overdrafts until 30th August 2005*.
If you already have a Lloyds TSB current account, you can request an upgrade to our Plus account within Internet banking.
If you pay in over £500 a month, you can still take advantage of the Lloyds TSB Classic account, our most popular current account.
If you intend to pay in less than £500 a month, or your main source of income is Government benefits (this can include up to £100 per month of income from another source - this must be non-benefit income), please contact any Lloyds TSB branch to discuss a current account that will be suitable for you.
